HOOPABILITY

(Short AND Tall)

Every player in Hoopability (the game) possesses a degree of hoopability (the skill), an amount - maybe a lot, maybe not much.

He or she contributes hoopability while filling the role of a height (range) on a squad. A coach, after planning a squad organization, compares prospects for the skill they will provide at their range of tallness.

Hoopability skills resemble basketball, including basics like shooting, ball-handling, passing, rebounding, fast-break, screening, guarding, helping on defense, etc. In the key difference, tallness is not an individual asset.. Height is entirely "squad-wise," determined by plan.

The coach, after figuring for the tallness allowance, compares all squad candidates as needed and suggested by the easy arithmetic. Hoopability (skill) is noted within each tallness-unit range. Candidates "compete" at each height. The amount of tallness being common to each range, height is not a factor,. Only hoopability determines selection. Beyond the basics, is there a point guard, shot blocker, leadership?

Everything above is principle, and the real-world coach incorporates personal choice and unlimited shake-ups.

Finally, the unique versatility of skills can be seen in the various height-range roles in action on the court. Rival squads compete in the game of Hoopability vs. Hoopability.
